HELP WANTED: TKD School Curriculum and Instruction Director

We at NB United Taekwondo are looking for a capable and passionate professional employee for the permanent position of Taekwondo School Curriculum and Instruction Director, as follows:

 

Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree in Taekwondo or physical education, and 5-year+ experience in the field of Taekwondo Education/Training required

 

Job description:

At the proffered position, Taekwondo School Curriculum and Instruction Director will be on duties stated in the below:

  • Improve the current Taekwondo training programs and develop new programs to maintain the quality of member schools’ training
  • Create customized training programs to meet the specific needs of each member Taekwondo school
  • Plan and implement coach/instructor workshops and conferences to educate new curriculums, instructional equipment, and new trends in Taekwondo skills and training methods
  • Advise and support coaches and instructors in development of curriculum and instructional methods
  • Conduct evaluations of the current teaching/coaching staffs’ performances to ensure the quality of training programs of all member schools and participate in an interview with the applicants for the coach/instructor position
  • Participate in international or national Taekwondo conferences and seminars to keep pace with the advanced skills and knowledge related to Taekwondo education; draw up the training program for Team United, the special team for highly advanced student members who are preparing for prestigious Taekwondo tournaments
  • Advise and recommend member schools about or related to purchase of educational materials, supplies or equipment to meet the school standards as well as to maximize the instructional effects
  • Organize an in-school Taekwondo tournament twice a year, and provide workshops and meetings for coaches, referees and judges participating in that competition

Work hours:    35 hours / week  (1pm to 8pm, Mon. – Fri.)
